Album Notes
By popular demand of his fans to release a CD that features his harmonica playing, Pat Bergeson has released Hippy Dance. A fun collection of instrumentals featuring Pat's Harmonica and Guitar playing as well as his original compositions. The CD began in part with a collaboration between Pat and his musical buddy Dan Anderson who have been playing music together since the 3rd grade.Dan ( a fabulous Acoustic bassist and Tuba Player) and Pat ( a master harmonica player and Guitarist) Decided to get together and record some music for fun. They discovered that the combination of Tuba and harmonica was a real cool and enormous, funky sound especially when adding percussionist and Nashville session dynamoTom Roady. The album also features the great saxophonist Jeff Coffin of The Dave Matthews Band and Bela Fleck and the Flecktones. Also featuring :Steve Shapiro( Steely Dan), Jim White(Alison Krauss and Union station), Roger Spencer,Rod McGaha(Max Roach),Roy Agee(Lyle Lovett),Jimmy Wallace(Gavin Degraw,Kenny wayne Shepard),Charlie Chadwick,Will Barrow, Michael Jefry Stevens(Stevens , Siegel, Ferguson).......

Harmonica/Horn at it's Best
Good for the ears! Sounds like a Horn Player on Hippy Dance,Great Composition. exciting guitar playing rolling over to his Harmonica. I like the way slow and sassy takes from traditional blues harp to unknown territory. Check out the Bass Harmonica on Ghostly Apparatus and ubba-dubba tuba. Awesome Tuba Dan Anderson. A Closer walk with me reminds me of going to a Pat Metheny concert in late 70's. (Thanks for the Tickets Laura!) Check out the attack and rythym on Mexicon Medley. A must for all Harmonica and horn players. Dave Skirmont
