Album Notes
In the Gloom of Night, from under the TV, behind the pool table, next to the juke box,
witness the battle for attention , between the Saloon Singer and the diversions set in place
to stay this courier from the swift completion of his appointed rounds. I’ve never been a
‘dig me’ kind of entertainer. I hope you take something from my show or at least enjoy
the three hour respite from our impending doom, but if you don’t it’s OK.
So long as nobody gets hurt and the Yankees win.
I hold in high regard, the way we choose to allocate disposable income.
I am honored when your recreational plans include listening to an aging folkie,
in the twilight of a mediocre career, sing other peoples music.
Wanderlust often takes me to Nashville, where I discovered songs that made me laugh, cry and made me feel something
I that can’t name. I wanted to share that feeling and the enchanting poetry of these wonderful illusionist’s with my friends
on a midsummer night in an intimate room where neither would get lost.
We recorded the evening so that feeling could always be Just a Song Away.

Al and Barb

Me and Barb checked out your cd.
Packaging/Art Work - Excellent
Theme: Also excellent. Perfect fit for performer. Combination of Songs, Jacket Statements and Vocal character lend into a very entertaining introduction to a genuine, lovable, master vocalist with whom one feels completely comfortable.
Music: Loved the choice of songs. Too many to listen to carefully but we didn’t have to ‘try’ to listen to them. We were engaged. Also the songs were fresh. Covers of seemingly obscure songs …..which shouldn’t be obscure.

Musical production: Acceptable as a 1st class product of live performance. Mastering is high quality.
Careful with the limiter…….chopping them peaks changes the relationship of the voice and guitar.

Performance: Guitar: Effortless guitar playing and again completely original style.
Vocal: Flawless…grade A. Enjoyable.
Entertainment: Extremely skillful. Engaging. Enjoyable.

We enjoyed going through your cd. The more we hear ya, the bigger fans we are (and we don’t do fans).
We were laughing and having a great time together picturing you performing these songs.
We also admire your ability to adapt to a musician’s life style. love ya man!!!!!
