Album Notes
10 Flags featured the incredible Mark Brzezicki (Big Country etc.) on drums. Originally the CD was going to be a solo album but Pat used Simon Townshend studio where Mark had been doing some session playing earlier, he heard Pats remarkable sound and could not resist sitting down on at his kit and hitting the skins....the rest is history.

Pat Orchard is now coming into his own taking and developing his music to places only previously hinted at. Although he largely performs solo on acoustic-electric guitar his new album, '10 FLAGS' sees him utilising rock arrangements that help magnify his melodic and rhythmic writing talents and his imaginative use of effects pedals. From the opener 'Shadow Blonde', a strongly commercial cut with hints of the post-grunge Yankee rockers, through the evocative 'Axe', the Sting-like jazz-meandering of 'Angel' to the hypnotically attractive 'Night Train', Orchard projects an image of a performer prepared to take the singer/songwriter genre that extra mile.

Stirring debut album from earnest and campaigning singer/songwriter Orchard. Crashing electric guitars, great lyrics and some top ideas. Another one the major labels missed.
