Album Notes
Patrice Webb is a singer songwriter whose music takes her from the Sierra Nevada to the hills of Northern Idaho where she lives with her husband and a family of 4 legged critters. Patrice's songs tell of the lives of those whose stories make up the vibrant tapestry of what is called “Americana”. From the lives of farm workers, to those who are down on their luck and hoping for a better life, to those who walk the back roads in search of something better, to honky tonkin’ swing, Patrice's songs are snapshots in time told on a bed of folk, country, swing, and the blues.

Much of Patrice's musical muse comes from the places in America's musical past and she lists a diverse array of influences such as Sonny Terry and Brownie McGhee, Robert Johnson, Rosemary Clooney, Hank Williams, Bob Wills, as well as 60s icons such as the Byrds, Judy Collins, Joan Baez and Kate Wolf. Often compared to folk icons of the 60s, her music speaks to social issues such as teen pregnancy, domestic violence, as well as yes.... that old Americana staple of a woman who is stuck in a truck stop. Much of her music swings and cries the blues to the beat of that place in all of us that exists only in dreams. This is serious art that will make you laugh, make you cry, and is music you will never forget.

Meaningful & enjoyable

I thoroughly enjoyed this CD. Patrice is a song writer who shares her passion for stories through music with both passion and humor. Her stories have meaning and depth. While her sound is current, her voice carries a tone that represents the past. It's a beautiful combination. After listening to Patrice's CD, Turning Of The Page, I went to see her in concert. Patrice is a personable and entertainingly witty performer. I was not disappointed. I highly recommend this CD.
