ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
If you take James Brown, Chicago blues, Bach, Hendrix, Johnny Cash, and the profound simplicity of ecstatic chanting, mix them all together, soak them in Tibetan Buddhism, and add some tangy humor you would have all the major ingredients in this tasty CD.

Next, you would need a wizard producer and great players. In other words, talented friends who could offer an exotic palette of instruments: old school funky drums, Indian tablas and 3-string guitar, ethereal keyboards and flamenco guitar. To pull it all together you would have to find a dinosaur of a bass player/songwriter/vocalist who was the bassist on Krishna Das' 2013 Grammy nominated CD.

Finally, it would be essential to live, write, and record at 8,500 ft. in a remote area of the Sangre de Cristo mountains in southern Colorado so that the spacious grandeur of your surroundings would infuse the whole project.
