ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Winner of the 2012 Detroit Music Award For Best Jazz Recording, New American Daydream is the third recording for Patrick Prouty's quartet. It features his regular working group with Rob Pipho-Vibes, Phil Kelly-Piano and Bill Higgins- Drums. The disc contains eight new Prouty originals plus one traditional hymn. The music is hard swinging and the group interplay is adventurous often abandoning all musical from. Prouty's melodies have a whimsical air on this very accessible modern jazz disc.
