Album Notes
Patrick R. Smith released a full-length album of original post-rock ambient-alternative music entitled "For The Most Part," which was described as "melodious and contemplative," and as conveying a "strong, moody atmosphere which automatically takes the listener inside its aura." His fascination with creating a gentle sonic texture that mixed the stillness of ambient music with the intrigue of alternative drove him to write songs with smooth electric guitar riffs, rich chord progressions, and sparse, simple vocal melodies.

On his new release, A Good Heat EP, Patrick explores a similar, but different style of songwriting, cultivating an acoustic-alternative blend in his 3 new songs. The vocals are more prominent and intricately woven in the fabric of the song, and the instrumentation is intended to compliment a more stripped-down style. Joined this time by percussionist/engineer Jeff Richards, Jr., Patrick attempts to expand his artistic identity while maintaining his original interests and compositional voice.
