Album Notes
Long anticipated, "The Heart of A Waiting Boy" delivers the best of what Patti Casey has to offer. Outstanding songwriting, the sweetest voice and a treasure trove of the best of New England musicians, "The Heart of A Waiting Boy" was the fourth most played recording in February 2011 according to the FOLK-DJ listserve data compilation.

Though "Americana" would be an apt description, there are a variety of genres that fill this record; a Quebecois medley, acapella "Spread Joy Over This Land", bluegrass influence on "Wander On, Weary Soul" and "Gander in the Stubble" and the expected dark ballad, "Canyon Lullaby".

“Some music is good. Some music is great. Some music is essential. Patti Casey is essential.”
–Gary Raynor, bassist for the Guys’ All-Star Shoe Band of A Prairie Home Companion
