ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
"I was perfectly content writing the usual plinky-plonky synth songs; electro stuff that sounded like robot sex, fraught lyrics and nightmare themes, and that were never meant to be heard by anybody but me. Imagine my surprise a few years ago when I suddenly found myself writing string harmonies, glockenspiel arrangements, oboe melodies.

This collection of theatrical songs, about dramatic, damaged people, poured out of me and demanded to be recorded. I was mortified, as this new work delved deep into an emotional place; and these songs about vulnerability and heartache were not what i was prepared to write or sing. But I listened to my heart, and am glad I did. I am immensely proud of the results.

These songs are sad AND funny, just like life. Take them deadly seriously, but with tongue planted firmly in cheek."

Great lyrics
I am humming the tunes for days after listening and love the bite and the visuals from the lyrics. Highly recommend.
