High Energy CD - Great Songs!
Patty Reese has that type of voice that can quickly evoke comparisons to Janis Joplin – smoky and gravelly yet at the same time has a sweetness that softens her ballads with heartbreaking tenderness. Mostly comprised of original songs, “Strong Medicine”, is a timeless cd one can listen to over and over again. Her songs show a tremendous talent in both lyric writing and music composition that makes songwriting seem easy. The first song on the cd, “Who’s Got Your Back?”, is a hard rocking song about faith that has a driving electric guitar throughout. There’s a clever melodic and dissonant riff that is reminiscent of the devil violins in “The Devil Went Down to Georgia”. “Last Call for Love”, a poignant ballad she dedicates to the men and women of our military is one of my favorite songs on this CD. ‘Hey Girl, I’m going to be all right – When I come home, I’ll make love to you every night…Here comes the hardest part – farewell my love, it’s time to part. Last call for alcohol, last call for love…’ This CD has a great energy and is backed by extremely talented and notable DC musicians. Several of the songs on this CD are on my jogging playlist – and is often played at our parties and gatherings. Buy this CD – you won’t regret it.

Positive Singing
Patty's lyrics send a positive message. The CD has a nice mix of lively and quiet. I likve her gravely voice.
