Album Notes
Chris Cornell and his original band Soundgarden were a major influence on Paul Maged's early songwriting. Soundgarden informed Paul's early years of rock exploration and it was Chris Cornell leading the way lyrically and vocally with his four octave range. When Cornell passed Maged was upset and in shock but wished to honor Cornell somehow. He quickly arranged and recorded an acoustic version of his favorite Cornell song, an Audioslave song, "Like a Stone". The arrangement is based on Cornell's own solo acoustic guitar version of the song. Maged wanted to arrange and play the song from a personal standpoint and recorded it on his instrument of favor, piano, attempting to showcase the gorgeous melody of the music and the haunting lyric. Maged also plays all other instruments on the recording.

Maged will be accompanying the single with a music video of him playing and singing the song live in studio. This is a passion project for Maged who is set to release his 3rd album entitled "Light Years Away", his follow up to his critically acclaimed sophomore album "Diamonds & Demons", in the near future. In the meantime he hopes that Chris is up there somewhere with a nod and a wink, waiting there like a stone.
