Album Notes
I never really took the time to listen to the tradional hymns of the past until hearing them led by a friend, Art Christensen. I began to see the the beauty in the lyrics and the love that many people sang them with. I decided to see how I could make some classical music arrangements for them to lend to them a little different style than what you might normally hear on an organ in church. Many people seemed to love them and want them for themselves and their loved ones. Also, my arrangement of St. Patrick's Prayer has been published in the Hymnal, "Hymns for a Pilgrim People", Copyright p c 2007 by GIA Publications, Inc. and National Association of Congregational Christian Churches (NACCC). That has been a real blessing for me. I've included one song (I Look) that I have written about looking forward to our eternal home in heaven. My hope is that you will, like I, learn to appreciate the old hymns in a new way.
