ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
This new EP is called Wid Yuh Riddim Featuring Various Artists. The Artists are Paul Ranger, Chico, Hawkeye, Nadira Norjahan and John Mouse. The first 6 songs are all built on the same Riddim/Rhythm "Wid Yuh Riddim" (AKA A Wah Wrong Wid Yuh Riddim)

The 1st track "A Wah Wrong Wid Yuh" which is where the riddim got it's name and now shortened to "Wid Yuh Riddim," was previously released and is now also on the EP. The other songs are new and their lyrics from the respective artists ride the same Riddim/Rhythm(The accompanying music).

Using the same Riddim for many different lyrics from the same or different artists is a common practice in Reggae and other music from Jamaica or from other places influenced by the Jamaican genre. This EP follows that tradition, in addition, there are two bonus tracks.

The bonus tracks 7 and 8 is Paul Ranger's "Who's That Girl Featuring Hawkeye. It's a remix of the same song that was performed by Paul Ranger alone previous to any remixes. Hawkeye has been featured on other remixes of the same song before, however this remix featuring the legendary Dancehall Artist, makes use of the original riddim/background music for the original song before any remixes came along.

Track 8 (Mix 2) is distinguished from 7 because it is mixed with different drums and a different introduction. Those who are particular about drums will love track 8.

Since this is a EP with various artist I have no choice but to state the obvious, that is, each Artist, besides writing their own lyrics, also perform their lyrics in their own unique style.Their fellow artist Paul Ranger finds their performances "refreshing". He said "They wrote words and gave performances that I couldn't have imagined could be"

This is a list of the performers and their songs; Paul Ranger-"A Wah Wrong Wid Yuh," Chico-"One Night Stand," Hawkeye- "Wanna Be with You," Nadira Norjahan-"Dance With Me," John-Mouse-"Anyweh De Wrong Deh." Paul Ranger-"Coming Home To You," Paul Ranger "Who's That Girl Featuring Hawkeye.

A list is good, however to really capture what it is like and to enjoy the performances, you have to listen to each song with a good head phone or a good sound system at home in the car or on the train. Much love to you all.
