Album Notes
About... Paul Sticca is an American singer / songwriter from Western Massachusetts, born and raised in Springfield - the “City of Homes”. Paul writes and performs Americana-Alternative style music heavily influenced by such American legends as Johnny Cash, Tom Petty, Bruce Springsteen and Neil Young, as well as early British invaders such as The Rolling Stones and Led Zeppelin. Paul also performs classic to modern rock & country music covers live in his own personal style as a tribute to these great music legends.

Early Years… Paul ventured into music at the early age of four as a classical piano student at the Springfield Music Conservatory studying under one of the region’s top music teachers – Ida King. He concurrently studied music in the Springfield Public School system and later continued in his undergraduate studies. Paul practiced for thousands of hours on an early 1900's, road-worn, pea-green upright piano, which had been relocated from the salvage yard to the basement of his childhood home following its own adventure travelling up and down the east coast in the 50’s and 60’s in various shows.

Expanding the Arsenal… While learning piano, Paul expanded his interest to jazz-rock drums and percussion, electric pianos, Hammond and other organs and keyboards and began to perform live with various bands in the early 1980’s. In his early twenties, he began writing original music and was self-taught on a variety of instruments including acoustic and electric guitars, Hammond organ, harmonica, mandolin, melodica, lap steel, baritone and bass guitar and his grandfather's classic accordions.

Performing… Paul performs live both solo-acoustic “Acousticca” and with several groups including the 5-pc band TheChickenYard, and acoustic duos and trios at various live music venues, festivals, concert series, fundraisers/benefits, and private events.

Publication… Paul has written, published and released four full-length albums, which have been well received with live audiences of all ages regionally and international via Internet radio and other distribution channels such as iTunes, Spotify, Amazon Music, etc. His writing style has been referred to as “Modern Americana” with influences from the genres ranging from classic rock (The Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen, Neil Young and Tom Petty) to classic country (Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings and Willie Nelson) to various contemporary Americana, rock, outlaw and country artists.
