Album Notes
Little Bit of Faith is about love, loss, hope, and grace.

"Karen takes the ineffable experience of grief and sings it out from her soul with such tenderness, vulnerability, and courage. The words and music are moving and lovely. The quality of her voice - I could listen many times. Little Bit of Faith is a beautiful work of spirit and art." - Diane Nettifee, Magis Ventures

"Very moving. Being a big blues fan, I especially like the sequence of What's It Like in Heaven?, One More Day, and Just Not The Same, with One More Day blowing me away." -Tim Hoppey, Shoreham, NY

Karen Pavlicin is an award-winning writer who turned to songwriting after the death of her husband to cancer. She put heart and soul into this original lyrical collection.
Her pure, gentle vocals and honest lyrics blend with a mixture of blues, folk, and jazz to create a journey of hope and inspiration.

Karen’s story behind this album:

I am a writer, but when my husband, Bob, died of cancer at age 38, I had no words. For months I couldn't write, not even in a journal. Then one night while standing in my kitchen trying to cook dinner, I began to sing. I sang about our stories, about celebrating life. I loved telling Bob’s stories, our stories. Yet I desperately missed his touch, his smell, his laugh. Could our stories bridge Heaven and Earth? Could they connect us on this journey?

Bob was a music connoisseur. Music filled our lives together. He could select the perfect song for any occasion. I was sure this song that played over and over in my head was a gift from Bob, my angel bringing God’s grace. I recorded it and gave it to our family and friends that first Christmas. And I kept writing and singing.

As the months went by, I struggled with more questions about life, after life, purpose, destiny. What is it like in Heaven? What does our relationship mean now?

Music is such a powerful healer. I wanted to share the words I'd found with someone else who might need them. This journey of grief is full of sorrow, but also joy and hope and grace. These songs helped me sort through my beliefs and find faith to go on celebrating life. A little bit of faith brought me through. I hope this CD will inspire you and bring a little bit of faith for your journey, too, no matter what that journey brings.

100% of profits from this CD go to cancer research.

Impressive Talent!
Karen's sweet and clear vocal reminds me of another angelic-voiced Karen, the late Karen Carpenter. Ms. Pavlicin's gift for songwriting shines. Considering that this album is her first offering, one can only imagine the incredible artistry that she will share with us in the future. I enjoy every selection on this CD, but I am especially fond of the ballads "We've Got Tonight" and "Romeo and Juliet." The bittersweet lyrics and melody of "Stories" is reminiscent of the classic 70s excellence by Carole King and Carly Simon. I recommend this CD to all who appreciate quality, and who hold high standards for good music. -Thomas Ventiquattro II (Tom 24) cdbaby artist
