Best album of the late '90s.
Paul has put together a superb collection of songs and a superb collection of the musicians needed to master the diverse genres of his fertile imagination. There are island beats, blues, folky constructions; they all work together without sounding scattered. Clap for the Couple (Down the Hall) has the lyrical depth to become your own aural motion picture. Lovely as the Day is Long will still sound like a classic 400 years from now. Keep You (Going Away) is a gem.
