Album Notes
Peg is well-known for her resonant vocal abilities. In his review of The Missing Peace, Jamie O’Brien, of the Irish Edition, said of “the beauty of Peg’s voice” that “the lyrics burst into infectious life.” Peg is an accomplished musician as well, and plays six and twelve string guitars, mandolin, penny whistle, button accordion, and bodhran.

Equally at home before a concert crowd of thousands (Buffalo Irish Festival, Rochester Irish Festival, Lake Ontario Concerts By The Shore) or in the closeness of a pub venue (The Shannon Poconos, Johnny’s Irish Pub of Rochester, Screwie Louie’s in Florida, Aubrey’s Inn of the Thousand Islands resort, etc. ), Peg is in demand for all types of occasions - large, small, and in-between.

Peg’s original songs capture the beauty of the St. Lawrence River area of the US, brave deeds of historical figures, her own grandmother’s honky tonk performances, and the tragedy of the Great Lakes sailors - shipwreck. In fact, Peg’s song “Silence” can be heard on “Shipwrecks of the Thousand Islands” video production and on youtube. Her extensive repertoire ranges from traditional and contemporary Irish songs to popular hits by stars like The Eagles, and Crosby, Stills, Nash, & Young, to dozens of country and pop favorites.

As a recording artist on the Dynamic Recording label, Peg has several well-received albums to her credit, and enjoys air play on The Irish Party House (WRUR) as well as other stations, internet radio (wdyn.net), public radio, and the international internet jukebox network located in restaurants, pubs, taverns, and other venues throughout the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

The selections on Irish Pub Crawl include many traditional and contemporary Irish songs. The Parting Glass and Here's A Health are appropriate for many occasions, and the National Anthem (also titled the Irish Republic, and The Soldier's Song) is the perfect choice for Saint Paddy's Day celebrations and contemplation. From upbeat Mairi's Wedding to the melancholy Come By The Hills, there is a song here that will be your favorite.
Besides her busy schedule as a solo artist in the Thousand Islands resort area, and a variety of locations in Florida, Peg is also part of the greater Upstate New York music scene with her band “Wingin’ It”, the annual reunions of The Wild Geese, as a duo with violinist Sharon McHargue, and as a guest vocalist where ever she appears!.
