ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The project combines music, dance and poetry to celebrate some of the greatest mystic poets of all time (Rumi, Hafez, and Omar Khayyam) and to spread their message of universal harmony and peace among all religions and cultures in the tradition of Sufi brotherhoods, but with a universal and contemporary outlook. The compositions were created by studying the verses of poets, from research on the metrics of the poems sung in the original language (Persian) and from the miniatures of the artists that narrate the musical atmosphere and the instruments used in those times to set poetry to music, such as the setar, the ney, the tar, the oud, the kamanche and the daf.
