Album Notes
Freedom Records of Austin, Texas is proud to welcome singer-songwriter Penny Jo Pullus to their roster joining The Resentments, Jon Dee Graham, Elizabeth McQueen, Jud Newcomb, Beaver Nelson, and Mike Rosenthal.

Penny Jo will be releasing “My Barn Having Burned, I Can Now See The Moon” on Tuesday August 26th to the public. This will be her first release in 5 years, following the critically raved “My Turn To Howl.”

\"Similar to Roseanne Cash and Lucinda Williams, Penny Jo has dug deeper to find the right songs and voice of a mature songwriter, to shake off the \"country chick singer stamp.” What Penny Jo is now up to is decidedly different. She has combined a roots sound with the right pop influences due to the vision of producer Ron Flynt, of 20/20 fame, to develop a unique style that has her inspired as well as singing at her best. “My Barn Having Burned, I Can Now See The Moon” is slated to debut in Sept. 2008 with a host of the usual suspects Ian McLagan (The Faces), Jud Newcomb, Eric Hisaw, Chip Dolan and Ron Flynt.

\"Ever since I decided that this is what I wanted to do with my life, it has been about my gut feelings, about doing what I like to do, finding my own way of being me no matter what others may think,\" Penny Jo concludes. And from her older brother\'s record collection to the clubs of Austin, the Penny Jo Pullus we get to know on stage is someone who is not only well worth knowing, but someone who has found what she is looking for.
