ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Penny Whiskey is a group of fun loving folks who truly have a good time doing what they love most…entertaining. The brain child of Kirk McWhorter (from the critically acclaimed Celtic band Kilbrannan) Penny Whiskey promises to offer the best in music from both Ireland and Scotland along with home grown bluegrass and folk influences...and that touch of crunchy electric guitar that gets you off your feet.

Penny Whiskey is the melodic unforgettable vocals of Kirk, who also plays banjo, bodhran and whistles, backed up by the truly inspirational playing of Jon Carlson on acoustic guitar; Dan Lelito on solid bass, Paul Kneis supplying his own flash on mandolin, guitar and flute, and Paul Runfola whose electric guitar is brilliantly and instantly recognizable.

Known far and wide for their outstanding vocal harmonies, whether playing classic, somber, originals or hilariously comic music, Penny Whiskey is not to be missed.
