ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
There's no doubt that this is an album about life, created from real emotions. It all started with the title track, "Sybil's Daughter" in which I talk about growing up in Louisiana and remembering my childhood with my mother. She was a lifelong homemaker taking care of six children while daddy worked two jobs to make ends meet. She loved going out dancing on the weekends and most definitely had a crush on Elvis! Once full of life mother is now stricken with Alzheimer's, a very devastating and heartless disease. I talk about my daddy in "(A Time From) Yesterday".... The opening verse is one of my favorite memories of him. We used to ride our bikes to the firehouse where daddy worked at where we would play games and visit the local traveling roller rink. "Bubba's Song" is about my brother who passed from cancer. It's amazing how you can grow up with someone and never really know them. Death draws a family closer but you can't bring back time. "Away From Me" and "Olivia" are both about my niece Olivia Jane. The rest of the songs are also near and dear to me but I'll stop here.... Hope you enjoy my heartfelt collection...
