Album Notes
The name John Perinbam may be new to some, but is well known to Metal fans as the former frontman and main songwriter of the renowned Canadian band Ivory Knight.

Born in Johnstone, Scotland, but now living in Ottawa, Canada, John has been involved in music since the mid-1980s. He has written countless songs, performed a myriad of live and live-broadcast radio shows, and recorded with many acts including Ivory Knight, Sudden Thunder, Dr. Squish, Trojan Hammer, and the Jeff Waters Project, the latter two acts featuring the Annihilator guitar legend! John can also be heard contributing backing vocals on the Annihilator album 'METAL'.

With Ivory Knight, John won prestigious slots opening for bands such as W.A.S.P., Sonata Arctica, Blackstar (featuring John Ricci and Jacques Belanger of Exciter), and many more. He played to packed houses at some of the hottest venues including Ottawa's Barrymores, Porter Hall (Carleton University), Zaphods, and many others both as headliner and as an opener. Ivory Knight appeared in the Brave Words and Bloody Knuckles article "O Canada, Our Home and Metal Land! The List - Great White Metal A-Z;" in issue #92, among greats such as Rush, Saga, Voivod, Annihilator, Exciter, and Anvil!

However, in mid 2007, due to increasing musical differences, John decided it was time to break free of the constraints of Ivory Knight, and embarked on a mission to launch his solo career. Now, John presents his debut CD, Knightfall, which was produced, engineered, and mixed by Metal legend Jeff Waters (Annihilator). The CD was recorded at Watersound Studios and features several guests: Jeff Waters (Annihilator), Dave Padden (Annihilator), Dan Beehler (ex-Exciter), and Rob Gravelle (ex-Ivory Knight).

John's vocal influences include Ian Gillan, Rob Halford, David Coverdale, Joe Lynn Turner, Ronnie James Dio, Derek Shulman, and many others.

In addition to singing, John plays several instruments including bass guitar, keyboards, guitar, and drums. These days you can probably find him onstage, contributing his talents on bass guitar and backing vocals to Ottawa's hottest and busiest classic rock band, Raw Sugar.

Also keep your eyes open for John's new revamped Sudden Thunder lineup, coming soon to a rockin' venue near you!

Rock over London...
I thoroughly enjoyed the album. The album was very 'tight' (like tiger). I especially loved the song Telekinetic Killer. Awesome interlude in that one.

I also enjoyed Inferno. METAL! Awesome voice this John has. I think he has an awesome range. I also have to say major props to Black Jacques on the guitang. Total metal skillz.

Keep Ottawa Metal!

This Album Set My Ears On Fire... In A Good Way!!!
Holy crap... I didn't know they still made albums that rocked like this in 2009! Killer vocals, killer guitars, superb songwriting and recording. I'm familiar with the Guitar God Jeff Waters (who is as amazing on Knightfall as he is on any Annihilator album), but where the hell did this Rob Gravelle character come from? Those dudes are on par, if you ask me. I'm not sure, but I think Rob Gravelle might be a pen name for Steve Vai or maybe Malmsteen (or maybe they share the name as one megashredder?) John Perinbam is a flat out SICK vocalist! Damn, talk about chops!!! This album deserves some serious recognition. Buy this album if you're at all serious about real METAL or music in general.

Metal up your a$$es!!!
