Album Notes
"Eclectic" is the word that sums up the music of Pete McCabe. Sure there is acoustic fingerpicking guitar and even tenor banjo on his upcoming album, "Head Tones." But what about the grand piano classic Hollywood ballad, "Hollywood (Remix)" with lush string section? Then there's the ode to a 1970s Denver pot grower with distinctively Steely Dannish rock rhythm section. How about quirky love songs and psychedelic sci-fi? Harpsichord and clarinet longings for, "All the things we did or could have done," that are, "Fixed in time," and McCartneyesque observations of the Animated Cartoon Man for whom it is "Not funny any more"--It's all part of the world of Pete McCabe. If you like strong lyrics and adventurous music you'll find it in his single, "I'm Not Feelin' It" as well as on his soon to be released album.
