Album Notes
"Låt mig vandra"(Let me wander)
Acoustic instrumental music composed for solo guitar by Peter Åkerström.

”Låt mig vandra”(let me wander) is a selection of works composed between the years 2001 to 2013. You can hear what influenced me during the period I composed the piece. Take for example the piece "Time to let go". There is clearly heard that I was in a period with Travis picking and swingy country blues, inspired by finger picker maestro Chet Atkins. The "Autumn Waltz" is from a completely different time when I concentrated more on the classical guitar. Regardless style, it is melodious compositions from the bottom of my heart.
As you notice some of the track titles are in Swedish and others in English. This might look confusing, but there is an explanation for it.
The ones with English titles are composed during the years I lived in Ireland, and they are all influenced one way or the other by the people I met, fellow musicians, and places I have both been and seen while living there. The two tracks with Swedish titles are composed in Sweden and they also sound a bit more like something coming out of the deep northern forest.

Sit back, listen and enjoy the journey.
