Album Notes
Greetings! I am Larry Dearing; my alter ego Peter D' Piper plays Medieval and Renaissance music at the Georgia Renaissance Festival as well as other Faires. I play recorders in a variety of voices and types ranging from the delicate and precise to the more edgy and driven.

This project brings together songs from the 12th to the 15th Centuries and represent the musical flair and diversity of Medieval Sweden, Germany, France, Italy, and Spain. These songs are played not in the "Classical" style as you often hear them but in a more free and friendly folk style, surely being closer to how they were played and heard in their day. On several songs I've gathered friends together to provide an additional variety of sound and structure.
