Album Notes
Chris and I met in Miami in August 2016 for the first time. I was introduced to Chris by his father, Legendary Grammy Award Winning Producer, Rudy Perez. . Chris had asked me who my influences were and after a little consultation session we got right down to business! Chris grabbed the first magazine out of his family's basket and started seeking 'song titles' and writing them down on pieces of paper, while I would interject a few off the top of my head. Chris then put the pieces of papers into a hat and he asked me to pick one. I selected, "You'll Never Know" and Chris suggested we place a 30 minute time limit on this session...so I started strumming on my Taylor 12 string, playing in the key of D off of the 5th fret and sang the first line that came out of my mouth, 'You everything about nothing' while Chris starting writing down our ideas. After 30 minutes we had about three quarters of the song finished and then we added the tag, into the ending. After the song was recorded, (By the way we didn't have access to a formal slide, so Chris improvised with an old Amp Tube and that's what you are hearing on this track!), we then decided to dedicate the song to George Harrison...
