ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
After meeting Chris for the first time in Mid August of 2016, we were introduced by Rudy Perez Latin Producer of the Decade who happens to be Chris's father. What a great family Betsy, Rudy, Chris, Corey, Mikey and Adam! As well as the entire team of Bullseye Music Miami. We wrote 3 songs in about 3 hours and then I asked Chris, what's next? Chris said I'm only in Miami for the next few days so I'd like to start recording these tunes! I said I'm with you and we headed into the studio on premises! There I met Andrew Bermudez, Grammy Award Winning Engineer (and I can tell you Andrew is a Pro Tools Wiz!!) and a really great guy. In my own recordings I usually lay down a click track and start recording the drums...in this session Chris and I played guitars live and recorded about 5 or 6 takes...we laid down a reference vocal. Chris had some ideas for lead guitars. I played a couple of tracks...then Chris asked Andrew and Rudy do we have a slide? (one that is either glass or metal that goes on your pinky for lead guitars)...Nope, no slide anywhere but Andrew said we have an old Amplifier Tube! Chris played the slide lead with the Tube! Awesome!!... the next day Orlando Hernandez came in around 12PM and set up his drums. Chris, Rudy, Orlando, Andrew, David, and me say and as I listened to Chris give instructions of the beat he wanted for this song...Orlando wrote out a chart and notes while Chris was suggesting to Orlando what he wanted... Corey Perez also joined in on Bass Guitar. It is an incredible process of recording and how talented and experienced this Perez family and friends are! Everything was coming together...Chris laid down background vocals...he must have done about 8-10 takes of different harmony voices. Brilliant!! we took a dinner break...Rudy cooked up a spectacular dinner! We ended the session around 10 PM, maybe later. I was starting to get excited even though I didn't have much more than The first day's reference takes for review...
