ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Peter Mac began playing guitar at the age of 14. He has spent the past 25 years developing his craft. Having attended the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music from 1978-1981, he spent the next two years traveling around the USA playing in funk and jazz fusion acts. In 1983, he formed The Converters, an all original trio that was popular on college campuses throughout the Midwest. The band disbanded in 1988 and Peter recorded his first solo album "Pardon My Monster".

In 1989 his second album "Cult Groove" attracted the attention of a major advertising company and he was contracted to record 12 spots for MTV sports commercials. He spent 1990 playing with his own band The Peter Mac Trio. In 1991 Peter joined the band Streetlife. Streetlife released two CD's: 1992's "Both Sides of the Street" and 1995's "Conversations". Both CD's have been featured on the "Art Goods Jazz Tracks" radio show. Peter has also performed with Streetlife at all Milwaukee Bucks home basketball games for the past eight years, which is great exposure playing for 18,000 people each game. In 1995 Peter released his third CD "3 Faces," a triple dose of guitar stylings. He also played all bass and keyboard tracks on this CD.

In the past, Peter has opened for the likes of Kenny Loggins, Dave Koz, Tower of Power, "the late great" Danny Gatton, Grover Washington, Jeff Healey, Eddie Money, Kansas, Doc Severinsen, Tim Wiesburg, Jeff Lorber, The O'Jays, Al Jarreau, and others. He has recorded commercials for Boston Store Department Store, Kimberly Clark, Midwest Express Airlines, Yamaha Jet Skis and many more. From 1997 to 1999 he has recorded over 150 logos for radio stations around the USA through Joe Kelly Inc. He is currently teaching over 60 guitarists per week at the Waukesha Conservatory of Music and at his own studio Guitar Lab.
