Album Notes
Audiences throughout the northeast have been captivated by Peter Miles and his remarkable voice, which has finally been captured on his new CD “Live Life LIVE”.
“Miles” as friends call him is known for his uniquely honest, truthful sound and approach. His extraordinarily clear sound and solid four-octave vocal range coupled with his adept and articulate guitar style create a sound of more than the sum of it's parts.
His vocal experience began in early childhood harmonizing with an older brother and sister at home. Later, Miles enjoyed classical choral training with choral directors like Brock MacElhern and Gerald Heart.
Miles' unusual guitar style, both acoustic and electric, utilizes all right-hand fingers and a flat-pick in combination to produce moving bass lines and detailed counter-melodies that weave their way through his music and enhance his vocal performance. This style developed from the process of learning to play songs that originally included several instruments and voices using only his one voice, and one guitar. Many of the well known passages of these hit songs were originally played on keyboard, horns, and voices or with multiple guitar tracks. Miles has always tried to find a way to play these important melodies and flourishes while simultaneously keeping the rhythm and flow of the song intact. This technique shows up loud and clear in his original music as well.
This live recording of a solo-acoustic performance includes ten original “Milessongs” and two classic cover songs from Miles' live show. The recording came about thanks to the production work of renowned studio guitarist and producer/arranger David Spinozza (A&M Records, Paul McCartney, James Taylor, SNL, etc.). The album was recorded live by Mr. Spinozza and engineered/mastered by Frank Dickinson of "90 East Productions" at a small Italian trattoria in southern Vermont. The balanced resonance of Miles’ guitar and voice are clear in each track and the old wooden beams in the tavern ring with live energy, applause and laughter.

Awesome Solo Disc!
The best solo artist CD I have ever heard!

Blast from your past

Hi Pete, You would never remember me but I met you over 17 years ago. At thaat time you were dating a friend of mine that went to scholl in Mass. I was up visting from Long Island, NY and got to hear you sing and play in your friends house in VT. I have a homemade "tape" of you then and it is awesome. I am glad to see you made it. Best regards a strager form a long time ago.
