Album Notes
Peter Vandrie is locally known for his former band Matik, which gained success in the aftermath of the European Rock and Rave phenomenon. They played on virtually every stage in Holland and collaborated with legendary US producer Arthur Baker (Afrika Bambaataa, New Order, Bob Dylan).
But Vandrie has come a long way from the dark nightclubs. His solo debut “Not like bones” offers melodic, personal and highly original, guitar driven songs with subtle analog synth arrangements and a dash of lap steel. He is surrounded by some of Hollands and Belgiums best indie players, from bands such as Zita Swoon (BE) and Room Eleven (NL). Combining heartfelt lyrics with dynamic performances, Peter Vandrie is a fresh new voice in the indie pop landscape.
