ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Does your faith need to be strengthened? Does your hope need to be renewed? In a world where everything seems to be falling apart and nothing is secure, we need to put our faith and hope where they belong - in God.

"Hymns Of Faith And Hope" is our first instrumental release. Each hymn was arranged and performed by Paul in a traditional style, and is sure to be a blessing to all who listen! From "Amazing Grace" to "Near The Cross", we know you'll enjoy and be blessed by these wonderful songs that have touched the hearts of many over the years.

The traditional hymns we've loved and sung over the years have always been a part of Paul's life. He was adopted by a wonderful Christian couple when he was 2 years old, and attended church and Sunday School with Mom and Dad at the United Church of West Pawlet, VT, near Granville, NY where he grew up. He remembers fondly Mrs. Mary Beaver, the organist there at the church. When he was 12 or 13, Mrs. Beaver would often let him sit beside her at the organ as she would play the postlude at the end of the morning service. He couldn't read music yet, but he would listen to her play, and she would let him play along with her, sometimes taking her hands off the keys after a while and letting him play alone. At Christmas, he would often sit at the organ or piano and play Christmas carols, learning them by ear.

This instrumental CD is a tribute to folks like Mary Beaver, who faithfully play the hymns we all love to sing, and to all those who use their musical gifts to be a blessing to others. And we hope you'll be blessed by the music as you listen. May each tune bring you closer to our Lord, Who gives us the gift of music to share!
