Album Notes
Hall of Fame DJ Jim Stricklan says: " I have just listened to a wonderful new album by Phil Jones and Debi Witt Jones. The CD is appropriately called LANDMARKS, and it's full of spiritually uplifting original songs from their journey in this life. It's a beautifully produced collection of songs that witness God's love and mercy. I've long been a fan of these amazing people and can proudly recommend this CD."

Phil and Debi Jones have been recording together since 2000. "Landmarks" is a collection of the very best songs from their first 4 albums, all in one beautiful set. Musicians who contributed to these tracks include pianist Ron Huckaby of the George Strait Band; bass man Jacob Lowery and lead guitarist Mark Johnson, both of whom tour with Phillips, Craig, and Dean; Rich Brotherton, producer for Robert Earl Keen; violinist Warren Hood, son of the late Champ Hood, who teamed with Walter Hyatt in Uncle Walt's Band; along with Jason Meekins on drums and Rudy Ramirez on saxophone; backing vocals by Wes Hightower, Tina Mitchell Wilkins, Pamela Cooke, and Elena Trevino; all under the guidance of producers Mike Hersh and Ron Flynt.

Phil's songs are strongly influenced by his experience of recovering from a life-threatening illness for which there is no cure known to man, and by his many subsequent years as member of both Missionary Baptist and United Methodist congregations in Texas. Debi's music is strongly influenced by her singer/songwriter father, who was known as the Texas Drifter. Debi's bold alto voice is reminiscent of Anne Murray, Karen Carpenter, Patsy Cline, and Joan Baez.

This duo is widely known throughout Texas, having performed in over 100 different churches, for audiences totaling over 30,000 people.
