Somewhere South of the Moon

by Phil Dollard

Finger picking and slide guitar originals and some blues-inflected cover songs are the linchpins of Phil Dollard's music; literate lyrics and some toe-tapping tempos combine to make this, his second CD, a fine addition to anyone's music library.

ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Phil Dollard is an acoustic, blues-based guitarist who has been performing at clubs and coffeehouses in the lower Hudson Valley for years. He writes original songs but also covers artists from the 1930's through the folk/rock revival of the '60's and beyond. Suitable for the roadhouse or the coffeehouse, influences range from Big Bill Broonzy to Hoagy Carmichael, the Piedmont finger-picking of Reverend Gary Davis to Lightnin' Hopkins. "Somewhere South of the Moon" is his second CD release.
