ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Philip J. Kearns just released his debut CD on the Rockduster Record label, out of Greensboro, NC. A native of Teaneck, NJ, Kearns started performing in clubs in the NY/NJ metro area at the age of 16 and later appeared at Greenwich Village hotspots, such as The Bitter End Café and The Back Fence. He has performed for many years throughout the country as a solo artist and also with other bands. While residing in Los Angeles, Kearns continued on in the Film and Television end of the entertainment field, winning small roles on shows, such as Highway To Heaven, Hill Street Blues, "V", The Final Battle, Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid, and other Film and TV shows in the '80s.

Kearns has recently re-vamped his entire life and career. His message is clear and is a flavorful blend of Folk Rock, a touch of Country and Blues with an alternative twist. He has become a poignant voice on topics regarding world peace and social justice, such as fairness to Gays-the Final Frontier for Human Rights.

His sound is melodic. His lyrics are caring, compelling, fun, and rich with tongue-in-cheek surprises. Best of all, Philip J. Kearns provides us with titles such as HUMAN RIGHTS and WHERE DOES PEACE BEGIN?-provocative, thoughtful works that offer heartening and hopeful musical perspectives. Such perspectives are welcome relief for the difficult global issues that we all face.
