ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Philter was formed in 2006 after my friend, Bob Yordan, came up with the name. The music varies from easy listening to dance, right through to more challenging pieces like Intermezzi. My musical background is classical, rock and roll, and many electronica bands. All have had an influence on me so to find something symphonic in an otherwise innocuous synth piece is not uncommon.

This is my first album and I'm hoping I will be able to produce more in the future. Indeed, some pieces have been written since this compilation and may well find their way onto "Minimal Cheese II", or "More Cheese But Less So".

To tour with all this material would be interesting and so would the gear list, I'd need 12 synths just to perform Intermezzi. But that's something for the distant future just now.
