ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Phoenix the Egg Kindler was recorded and mixed by me, Maggie Dubris, entirely in Garageband, on a cheap USB mic in my apartment in the East Village. (New York) Some of the vocals were redone in the attic of a hayloft at the Blue Mountain Center in upstate New York, and Jeanie Putnam’s vocals on Beanfields were recorded in her apartment in Washington Heights. The guitar and vocals are live. The rest of the music was done with an Oxygen8 keyboard with the sounds that came in Garageband, and a World Music Jampack. I did a lot of the computer music and rough mixes at Blue Mountain Center, in a hayloft that looked like it had been transported directly from the 1950s.
