ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Wishlist is a Christmas album that even Scrooge would enjoy! This flavorful nine song collection of truly universal Holiday originals celebrates the intent of the season with zest, warmth and charm. From the fun and effervescent apologue, "Evergreen", a conversation with a Charley Brown Christmas tree overlooked for the more attractive conifers in a tree lot, to the jubilant mailbox arrival of a "Handwritten Christmas Card", this album magically expresses the essence of Christmas; peace, goodwill, and understanding from an appealingly human perspective.

The opening, "Minoh Awasis (Beautiful Child)", pays tribute to Christmas from a cultural perspective. Sung in the Cree language, this song with rattle and drum, tells the stable story of the first Christmas night. "Where the cows live he lay, the little, beautiful child." From the stable the album takes a turn to the light and lilting "Snowflakes", the magical ingredient for the perfect Christmas, then continues along a Wintery byway to express a "Wishlist" for peace, and harmony. The album closes with a heartfelt wish for a "Merry Christmas" This delightfully, down-to-Earth set of seasonal expressions is sure to switch the Play Mode from shuffle to repeat.
