great performance of Feldman
I only downloaded the Feldman, which joins the other four recordings in my collection (The Barton Workshop, Kristine Scholz & Mats Persson, Roger Woodward/Ralph Lane, Le Bureau des Pianistes) and is at least as compelling as the others. The dynamics are suitably quiet, the nuances of Feldman's music comes through, and this is a great performance of one of Feldman's piano works from the late 50's. In terms of tempo, it's at the slower range, which is good (The Barton Workshop clocks in at a relatively fast 6:00, while Le Bureau des Pianistes clocks in at 11:23). I highly recommend this performance.

great collection
The piano duo Venti Dita performs a wonderful collection of largely unknown works. Hovhaness is probably the best known name and 3 works are included, Child in the Garden, Ko-ola-u and a 2-piano version of Psalm and Fugue, all well-performed. The real delights on this disk are Mirenzi's Incantesimo, 3 movements from Sisask's Die Spirale Symphonie, and pianist Castellano's own Lullaby which glitter with dazzling and irridescence. The music is truly unique and well-worth hearing.

Delightful pieces played by marvelous pianists
Venti Dita present a CD which is a treasure of piano duets. This collection of contemporary music includes nearly all styles and "isms," and I would find it difficult to choose just one or two for a download. The pieces represent composers from the US, Armenia, Latvia, Italy and Estonia, and the fact that these are works for piano duet makes the CD unique. Rosen and Castellano do an admirable job of playing these compositions, and it is obvious after listening just once, that they are fine musicians and pianists who bring to the listening audience a wide array - humor, tenderness, joy - of musical expression. (Castellano is not only a pianist on this disc; the charming "Lullaby" is her own composition.) Kudos, also, to the artist o f the CD cover, Beata Rzeszodko-Rosen; her art work with the child, parrot and fabulous cat, open the door to our enjoying the beautiful garden of sound.
