Album Notes
picard was started as a solo/personal project by Jason Ulwelling. Initially the intent was to find the source of his love for music again. No direction was chosen. This was to make the experiment as natural and organic as possible. Soon after other local musicians joined to help with the project. After about 6 months of working with other musicians in the local area, they had finally pushed Jason to name the project and choose a line up.

Eric Giardina and Brad Hanson were among the first to become part of the permanent line up. Other local musicians who were also involved include Mike Donaldson (Orestus), Brian Bethke (Solo, Meridean), Rob Zimmerman (SMR, Orestus) and Joseph Gunderson (The Jim Pullman Band and various others).

The writing process took over a year and the recording/production process equally as long. The album was produced by John L. Richardson of the Gin Blossoms along side Jason Ulwelling and Eric Giardina.

Rick St. Germaine, Phil Juodis, Cory Dahl and Anna Ringstad were added to the line up for the performance of the small show list that followed the release of "#1"
