Super Collection
Rick Pickren is a man of my heart who don't throw al the traditions away like some other country artists. I listen to all his cd previews and I must say each cd give you a view on those days we like to go back to the good old days when country was country music and was been played for the pleasure and entertainmend for the people. Today most of the country artists make music only for the profit of selling it. When I hear Rick's music than become I a tear in my eye because he brings me back to the old barns in the early day's where mostly local artists were performed on a Saturday evening. Rick I see you as a example for you beginning coutry musicians they should listen to you and than think over what kind of country music I will bring on stage the old fashion one or that music were I can earn the most with it. Than I will give them a good advice chose for the first one.

Totally Relevant
The phones were active for Rick Pickren's version of "Beautiful Ohio." I first heard that song on an ancient 78 by Henry Burr and Albert Campbell, which makes the production on Pickren's version - the intro imitating the sound of an old acoustical recording - totally relevant in my book. The State Songs
I really like the music of this CD. I am a fourth grade teacher and I play the CD as we learn about the regions of the United States. The students like to guess which state the music comes from.
