ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
"Deliver" is Pilar French's third album. The cd is a whimsical, light-hearted album that delves into themes of love, family, and the importance of human relationships over materiality. Deliver is varied in instrumentation, as always strong with guitars and bass (two of French's favorite instruments) but also including cello, accordion, keyboards and violin on some tracks. The album features many well-known Portland locals. In addition, to French's staple band-mates, Jeff Koch and Tony Howard, this album showcases local bassist, Sean Nowland, vocalist, Rachel Taylor Brown, cellist, Todd Bayles, keyboardist, Jean-Pierre Garau, and violinist Marilee Hord. The album was co-produced by 8 Ball Studio's Rob Stroup and his influences and expert production skills are apparent. "There are only six songs on this album but we wanted to have fun with production and a explore the art of layering so that the listener will be tempted to listen over and over." says French. "I really hope everyone has as much fun listening as we did in Deliver's making."
