Album Notes
In 1974 after several years as a successful secular artist, John experienced a series of life-changing events that would transform his career, family and ultimately his heart. Since then, he has traveled across America and abroad to bring his songs and his story wherever he is invited. In this "decade of evangelism" it is John's hope that the young and the old, the rich and the poor will discover for themselves, perhaps for the first time, the tender mercy of the God who made us all.

Born in Providence, Rhode Island, USA, John's musical beginnings were in rock and roll, blues, and acoustic performances. As a young man he was inspired by the texture and tone of legendary singer Andy Williams. Years later it was Joni Mitchell's expressive vocals, melodies, and poetic imagery that encouraged his early songwriting.

During the early 1970's some of John's work was featured on an album distributed by Columbia Records, notably his cover version of Leonard Cohen's "Bird on a Wire" and John's original composition "Take a Lesson from the Children". He opened concerts for Livingston Taylor and Dave Van Ronk and later for Gospel artists including Dion DiMucci, Phil Driscoll, and Kathy Troccoli.

Following a rather dramatic conversion experience in 1974, John responded to an inner sense, a "vocation", which resulted in his leaving a promising career in the contemporary music industry and devoting his life and talents to communicating the message of the Gospel, the love and mercy of God. He now knew this unconditional love for himself and passionately wanted to share it with others. And so began the life's work of this "troubadour for the Lord".

For over twenty-five years, John's work has been welcomed and endorsed by Catholic, Protestant, and independent churches. His performances, whether in a church, concert hall, or coffeehouse setting are evenings of song, prayer, and witness. He has been a feature artist on EWTN's "Say Yes", Vision New England Men's Conference, National Catholic Charismatic Conference and in England at the Youth 2000 Prayer Festivals, the Greenbelt Festival, and BBC's "Sunday" program.

With a belief in music as the "universal language", one that knows no cultural or generational boundaries, John sets forth to reach those deep places in the human heart that often cannot be touched by words alone. He invites you to quiet your heart for a moment and listen to some of the audio offerings here. He prays that it will be the inspiration for renewing, or perhaps just beginning, an intensely passionate communion with Christ, the lover of our souls.

Mr. Alexis Ibarra

Outstanding, Just as I remembered them.
Just a quick note to say how happy I am to have been able to replace this CD. I originally had it on tape and it was stolen when my car was stolen several years ago. The music is as inspiring today as it was the first time I heard it on retreat. I look forward to many hours of music enjoyment. Thank You. Alexis

Here Is My Servant
I had the "old 33 1/3 album" for years and moved about 2 years ago. Two boxes of my records were never delivered. I am so upset - I want to get the cassette or the CD or both. Also I would ike Your Love Is Changing The World - the same thing happened. I would like that in both Cassette and CD. How do I get them. That album was alos 5*'s.
