Album Notes
Married, half-Canadian musical comedy duo Pony Death Ride has released two acclaimed albums and several singles. Their sound is a combination of ukulele-driven ditties reminiscent of old tyme burlesque comedy, and guitar and bass driven songs leaning heavily toward punk rock. Whatever the sound may be, comedy and sassiness drive their music. On their latest single, "Let Me Tell You 'Bout My Bike", the band goes for a garage sound befitting of the lyrics, and they brought in some friends for the ride. Guitar and drums for the track are handled by Pat and Lety Beers from the soon -to-be-too-important-to-play-with-us band The Schizophonics, who's live show has been astounding music fans across the US and into other countries I can't remember. And also guy on the trumpet Jason Hanna, who was found in an abandoned car with nothing but his trumpet, who was brought in because he's fantastic and also works for sandwiches.

Pony Death Ride was nominated for a San Diego music award in 2017 but they didn't win. So there's that.
