Album Notes
The Praise Symphony Orchestra was started by Pete Jacobs in 1977, with the intention of presenting Christian oriented orchestral music for the glory of God. Our multi-generation musicians come from over twenty churches in the Southern California area. We offer worship concerts about one time per month, and usually on a Sunday night. Our concerts now feature a time of praise and worship with audience participation, as well as special presentations for children and adults by members of the orchestra's vocal quartet. After our concerts, we sell our CD recordings to help offset our costs of doing ministry. Our other recordings are available through our website or after our performances.

Miss Helen Weed has been conducting the orchestra since 1984. She received a B. M. degree in Music Education from Chapman University where she studied conducting from John Koshak. Currently Miss Weed is Associate Director of Worship Ministries at Calvary Church of Santa Ana and Fine Arts Coordinator at Calvary Christian School, and also conductor of the Prelude String Orchestra. She is an active member of the Music Teachers Association and National Association of Church Musicians, and is a private teacher of piano and violin.

Please visit our Praise Symphony website for more information and the latest concert schedule. Thank you!

Our music has blessed all ages and many different cultures. Plan to see us live sometime soon!

God's blessings to you!
