Album Notes
Award winning Canadian world musician Prashant Michael John brings here another stunningly beautiful album. This collaboration with Tibetan chantmaster Geshe Pema Rinchen (chant and Tibetan ritual instruments) is meditative and otherworldly while maintaining the primordial flavour of the Ritual chant.. Prashant uses bamboo flutes, electric and acoustic guitar and percussion judiciously and stays clear of the usual New Age treatment of this type of collaboration.

Prashant has received nominations and awards for his cross-cultural compositions in the American and Canadian Independent Music Awards, International Songwriting Competition and in the Canadian Folk Music Awards with his two bands Tandava and Lehera.
His Debut Album Tandava was
CBC radio’s Roots & Wings 10 Best Albums Of 2006 (Internationally); #2 in the National Canadian Campus Radio ‘International’ charts

Geshe Pema Rinchen was the chant master at the great prayer ceremony ( Monlam Chenmo) in Dharamsala in the presence of His Holiness the Dalai Lama. He has toured U.S.A. with the Mystical Art Tibet Team for world peace and performed at Carnegie Hall three times in collaboration with musical icons such as Phillip Glass. He was the head chant master for Drepung Loseling Monastery from 2003 to 2005.
