Album Notes
In April 2011, Pressgang, the UK Rock-folk band release a new single "THIS WILL BE". This is a fund-raiser for AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL. Pressgang have always been keen to support people who struggle to get heard in oppressive regimes, to support political activists fighting for democracy and free-speech. This reflects their choice of traditional songs that they sing. Songs like "New South Wales" and "The Cutty Wren" have been favourites for Pressgang and their audience for years. The lyrics of This Will Be reflect this ethos, with its hopeful message that people will everywhere will one day have free speech, shelter and hope.
There are two mixes available, one with the full band and drums, the other without drums (The acoustic version). Both tracks are available as download only and the money raised will be passed on to Amnesty to help them with their current campaign to support the political protesters in the Middle East countries and elsewhere. Amnesty have been doing this for 50 years and Pressgang are pleased to be able to support them. Please tell your friends, and any radio stations who may be able to help raise funds for Amnesty by playing the track.
