Album Notes
The priestie boyz are a group of Roman Catholic seminarians studying for the priesthood at Kenrick-Glennon Seminary. We strive to return our talents to the One who gave them to us. We believe our music is a prayer, and we hope it is a prayer for those who hear it as well.

Our album Lost in Ecstasy was a six month labor of love, recorded and produced at 'klm studios' in Kenrick-Glennon Seminary. Many hours were spent recording and re-recording guitar tracks, drums, vocals, bass and other instruments (all 100% live!). Then many more hours were spent mixing the tracks until each one was as close to perfect as we could make them. Finally, with great help from C.W. Dent, we mastered the CD to make it sound as awesome as possible, and distribute it to the world!

From the liner notes:
"The Priestie Boyz were started in January of 2004. While traveling home from the Pro-Life March in Washington D.C., Derrick Flannigan had the idea of starting a band made up of seminarians and, after having shared this idea with Anthony Podesta, the band began playing and writing music (then Derrick, Anthony, and Charlie Backer). Since its beginning the Priestie Boyz has included various seminarian members, all of whom have an appreciation for music and a deep love for Christ and Holy Mother Church. The band has performed at various venues, including Saint Louis University, Crossroads Music Festival, and at Kenrick-Glennon Seminary."

Every song on this album was written sincerely and from the heart, and we hope that you'll find inspiration in each one. Anything you like about our CD, we credit to our Creator, who fashioned us to know, love and serve Him alone. We ask that you pray for vocations to the priesthood and religious life in addition to purchasing our CD. For tons of great info, pictures, and more, check out our website -

I was very impressed by the quality of the lyrics
This CD is really quite remarkable particularly for being an amateur group. I enjoyed track 8 the best! But Tracks 4 and 5 have amazing lyrics. The messages contained in the lyrics should really be listened to. I would recommend this CD to anyone.

The words, the music.....excellent............thanks and good luck!
I am so pleased that the guys at Kenrick Glennon, have made this CD. The words, the music, the talent displayed are awesome. Good luck with all, you want to attain.

I liked it a lot, good lyrics.
I was impressed by the lyrics. I didn't expect it to be this good. I'm impressed at your project, one seminarian to others.

Good music, and encouraging for vocations!
I thought the CD was well-made, and while simple, it is very enjoyable. My favorite song was St. Michael's Hymn, which has some very nice lyrics. I hope many people find inspiration from this CD.

Awesome CD! Tracks 4 and 8 Are the Best
I just wanted to review the CD on CD Baby to let people know my own opinion (as the producer...). Track four at first seems a little slow, but is very touching, and the acoustic guitar solo at the end really helps give the song a powerful conclusion. Track eight, with it's St. Michael prayer in Latin, is one of my favorite songs ever—especially because of the 'battle march' drums and exciting guitar riffs. I like the other tracks, but for me, tracks 4 and 8 are the major highlights.
