ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Russian Spy by Project: LGM is like listening to NEW AUTHENTIC FIRST-GENERATION CLASSIC ROCK!

The recording of Russian Spy began in 2004 when Project: LGM played a regular rotation in the Connecticut club scene. In 2006, two members, Bill Wilson (vocals) and Joe Santucci (drums) formed the very popular Connecticut rock band, Last Licks. This CD was almost never completed. Left hanging as each band member had their own projects to contend with, it was on a break from Last Licks that Bill and Joe met up with Kevin Carey (guitar), and re-listened to the music. Surprised it had held up so well, they decided to bring it to the end zone. Bassist, John Krawczyk also agreed it was time to bring justice to this great project..

Spearheaded by Wilson, who brought in Jeff Cannata (Jasper Wrath/Arc Angel/Cannata) to remix the tracks they had recorded. Jeff worked his magic and it all came to life. The band brought in Jeff Batter (Jasper Wrath/Eyes) to play keyboards on a number of the tracks, and it was an unbelievably great experience.

There are many great stories about the songs, and how they came about that the band would love to share in interviews that will be forthcoming. You should ask them about how the Guess Who's American Woman inspired their Russian Spy. A great story; inspiring to those who write music creatively.

Most of the music for the songs on this CD were written by Kevin Carey, who has a unique style of delivery. Kevin is the creative force behind most of LGM's music. You can almost tell immediately that it's a Kevin Carey composition by the way he delivers his songs in a feel and sound all his own.
Bill Wilson wrote all of the lyrics except Angel Icons, which was penned by John Krawczyk. Bill wrote Trigger Happy, and Step Inside on his own, and they are featured compositions on this CD.

The cover of this CD is adorned by model, Christine Rowland, who thematically appears as the Russian Spy all throughout the 28 page booklet, which also includes all of the lyrics. The band plans to cut videos for some of the songs as soon as possible. The band hopes to record a follow up CD sometime in the future. Let's hope it won't take another 10 years.

Project: LGM hopes that you enjoy listening to this CD as much as they enjoyed creating it.
