Young phenomenon P-STAR is doing it big, releasing her debut album Welcome To My Show, with her hit single, Wanna Make You Dance. The album is available now at f.y.e. stores, Black Star Music & Video, Kiss Music in Harlem, fye.com and huncrecords.com.
This young artist has been working non-stop. With the release of her debut workout DVD,
P-Star Workout DVD Exercise Your Body & Mind in December and now the release of her debut album Welcome To My Show , she still manages to hold down a full-time job filming the Electric Company, scheduled to premiere in January 2009 on PBS.
P-STAR says, This album means a lot to me I have been working on it for awhile. I just wanted to make sure that I delivered an album that was beyond expectations. Her single and her video to Wanna Make You Dance have been added in English and en Espanol to Music Choice On Demand. She is also featured on Disney Incubator where hits are hatched.
P-STAR has rhymed since the tender age of nine, when she revealed to her father that she could rap, her exact words were, Yo dad I can spit. When her father figured out that she meant she could rhyme, he started entering her into talent shows and booking her performances all over the country and internationally. This led to her signing a record deal with HUNC Records.
In 2005, she was featured as the lead vocalist on Reggaeton Ninos Vol. 1, which sold more than 150,000 copies and she stared in the video Oye mi Canto. Vol. 2 sold over 50,000 copies and she shot the video Kids Dont Lie. Her television appearances include KTLA, Good Day New York, Telemundo, MTV You Hear It First, MTV show MADE, DLIFE on CNBC, Sabado Gigante, Primer Impacto, One Nation, and the Latin Grammy Awards. This talented teen also performed in front of 250,000 fans in Mexico. She subsequently became the Opening Voice of Hot 97s Angie Martinez Show on New York City radio. She opened for Raven Symone at Great Adventures in 2006 and has opened up for several other shows for Disney.
