Album Notes
"Feels like the third time" also known as "the Black Album" was the first release from Seattle trio Quickie. This the beginning of Quickie. The sound was fresh and familiar a fusion of punk rock and 80's synth pop. The drums are thundering and tribal. The guitars are reminiscent of early Bowie with an original and distinct wah-licious riffing sound. The vocals and lyrics are clever full of emotional, social and political casualties with hints of the Replacements, Johnny Rotten and a touch of Ric Ocasek. The EP was met with immediate airplay on 107.7 The End, KISW 99.9 and rave reviews "Chameleon is awesome!"-The Rocket, "Chameleon is the best single I've Heard all year" - Backfire/ JR Higgins, "Totally dig this! It reminds me of the Buzzcocks"- 107.7 The End Marco Collins and many more agreed. "Feels like the third time" is the roots of Quickie, a punk pop, rock-n- roll, synth pop band fusing familiar sounds and styles to create a new sonic experience. "10, 9, 8..."
